The Dermamelan Intimate Peel is a non-invasive skincare treatment that uses a combination of active ingredients to effectively reduce hyperpigmentation, discolouration, ingrown hairs and even out skin tone in the intimate area. It involves a two-step process. The initial phase takes place during an in clinic treatment, where an intensive depigmentation action is achieved through the application of a peel and mask, to deeply exfoliate the skin and break down the melanocytes. The second phase then takes place at home, 48 hours after completing the in clinic treatment.  During this phase, clients are to apply the Dermamelan intimate peeling gel at night, following specific guidelines. It is essential to complete the homecare to achieve the desired results.

The treatment involves applying a specialized formula with acids, including Phytic Acid, Kojic Acid and other active ingredients to the affected areas to retore and even tone in the area. Other treatments such as laser, may have the ability to remove pigment from the skin, however they don’t prevent the reappearance of spots. Dermamelan Intimate has a dual action as its both corrective and also helps to treat the root of the problem by controlling the overproduction of pigment to help it from reappearing.

Most clients will achieve the desired effects after only one session.

Prior to your treatment, you should ensure the treatment area has been shaved or waxed 72 hours prior to your treatment. Please refrain from using depilatory creams as this may irritate the treatment area. Also ensure on the day of treatment, the area is clean and free from topical products.

Following the in clinic treatment, the skin will be red and may feel hot, but the sensation is mild and will generally disappear in 24-48 hours. During the at home phase, minor peeling may occur and the area may feel slightly sensitive at times. Excessive heat, swimming, sauna, sweating and sports should be avoided for 3 weeks after your treatment. Sexual intercourse should also be avoided for 48 hours post treatment. Your therapist will also provide you with your aftercare cream and instructions.
